The Fans just had that HLM1 feeling that I really wanted to feel again. After The Fans all got killed it just broke my heart and after seeing Tony die like that I started to hate the Detective. I liked playing as The Fans the most because they felt very much like playing as Jacket, in my opinion they where the only interesting characters, I did not care much about the others, they just felt boring to play. The Fans saw Jacket as a hero, they killed for attention hoping for the mysterious calls to return. I know probably many of you will disagree with me, but I honestly didn't like playing as the other characters in HLM2 except for The Fans. it feels very much like the 'it-was-all-just-a-dream' type ending.
As simple as that a nuclear blast, thats it.
As a huge fan of Hotline Miami after playing HLM2 I feel angry how the story ended.
